Education Belief
I believe
teachers are undervalued in our society. Their role in instilling values, confidence, and problem-solving in the next generation is critical. Teachers should be compensated according to their value.
Silent One
- Should each teacher be compensated for their value? Thinker
- Interesting question. If I had my way, the answer would be yes. But then we run into the question of who and how "value" is defined. I suspect that by offering better compensation to teachers, people with higher qualifications and, hopefully, higher values would be attracted to the field.
- Would all fields of study be equally valued? leelu
- Yes, I would say so. While some fields like computer science, engineering, and medicine, contribute technical expertise, fine arts, philosophy, and literature build ethics, empathy, culture and critical thinking, while arts encourage imagination. They all have their own value that, put together, contribute to a civilized society.
